Friday, April 20, is Hokie Hope day, during which people around the country will wear orange and maroon.

When I heard about the shootings yesterday I was reminded of the Columbine shootings, of course, which happened during my senior year in high school. I re-read this column I wrote about it (scroll down to the April 17 entry) four years later in college. Writing it was a blessing.
